The Teer game, a special lottery in Meghalaya, has two rounds that last two minutes each.In the first round, expert archers aim 30 arrows at a pre-established target, in the second round, they aim 20 arrows.Players must guess a number between 0 and 99, which is the total number of arrows that will hit the target, in order to place bets.If a player correctly predicts the outcome of either round, they are deemed the winner.With lottery tickets ranging from Rs 1 to Rs 50 and offered by authorised merchants, the game is affordable for players and gives the traditional archery sport interest and unpredictability.The Shillong Teer lottery prize is determined by the total amount of money earned from bets and the precision of the participants’ forecasts.
For example, if the first round’s result is correctly predicted, a bet of Rs 1 can pay out Rs 80, and if the same outcome is predicted for the second round, it can pay out Rs 60. If a player accurately predicts both rounds and wagers Rs 1 on each, they can win up to Rs 4,000.
